inspiration + perspiration = invention :: T. Edison ::
Unlike a lot of people, I actually had a fairly good year in 2016: my work was financially and creatively rewarding, I got to travel and meet new people, and I spent quality time with people I care about. I read books I really liked, enjoyed some quality shows and films, and learned some new tricks of the trade.
In all that living, though, this blog fell to the wayside. What started out in a posting spree ended in no new content since ... June? Even then it was hit or miss. My careful schedule I made got farther and farther behind, until it felt like too much effort to get back started. I was going to in December, but then life once again intervened with some new hurdles to tackle.
So, in 2017, I'm trying a new schedule with both more and less structure: more in that I'm trying a different template with more specific subjects, and less in trying to give myself more flexibility with timing. Here's what I've come up with for now:
I'm embracing the hashtags, hoping it gets this blog out more (both to people and to encourage me to post). Also, I'm taking the stress off of me having to post something in every subject every week. Instead, I've outlined places for thoughts to go, and will strive to post at least one or two of these a week. If I get more, great. If not, no big.
This week I've got something prepped for each day to make up for lost time. If you want to receive updates for each new post, you can subscribe via RSS or email (check out the form on the main blog page); I'll also be tweeting new posts as before.
