Michelle R. Wood

Michelle R. Wood studied at East Carolina University, earning a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Theatre and English. Her education included study abroad in London and an internship with Walt Disney World.

Michelle spent many years as a volunteer and board member for Magnolia Arts Center (2006-2011) and Smiles and Frowns Playhouse (2004-2011). During that time she produced, directed, and assisted in the development of over 30 productions. Since then she has worked across the state of North Carolina and beyond, ranging from fullscale musicals at regional production companies to dramatic two-handers and blackbox Shakespeare. Michelle has taught theatre camps and workshops for a variety of venues, as well as led crews of interns and directed young student performers.

She also has training and experience in communication, media, and technology, including editing/proofreading, document layout/design, content generation, marketing, video/photo editing, and web development.
