Look what popped into my Twitter feed this week:
CONFIRMED by @straczynski - He's writing a Babylon 5 feature film in 2015. Also to be a new TV series called 'Two Streets'. #FreeBabylon5

I'm incredibly excited. Whether it's an actual reboot as some are calling it or just something more set in the Babylon 5 universe, it's a major step forward for this much neglected but wonderful story. Maybe now it will finally move out of the genre ghetto and get the recognition it deserves. As the Rangers say, "We live for the One, we die for the One."
Now I really have to get my Babylon 5 costume ready for next year's Realm Makers Con.
Less than positive Twitter news came regarding a big screen book adaption of A Wrinkle in Time:

@RealmMakers Wait: from the Frozen creators? In the words of #StarWars, "I've got a bad feeling about this."

I've got nothing against Frozen: it was funny and had good music, but the plot and characters were a mess. On the other hand, this writer also brought us Wreck-it Ralph, which I found both fun and heartfelt. This book requires more of the poignancy that Wreck-It Ralph occasionally touched on. Fingers crossed we'll get it.
Finally, it's true confession time: I've never been able to really get into Doctor Who, despite being surrounded by rabid fans. I don't dislike it: it's always been more a passive reaction, a shrug of indifference. Ever since the new actor was announced to play the Twelveth Doctor I've hoped that perhaps a fresh face might help me warm up to the show. This week a new clip was released that got me excited about the Doctor for the first time, ever:
Finally, the first promo to Resurrection's second season is out. It doesn't say much, but I really enjoyed this little midseason replacement, and I'm looking forward to what comes next. I also plan to live tweet each episode (when possible), and hopefully will write complete episode reviews as well. Stay tuned!
