A one act play by John Paul Middlesworth, performed as part of the Tar Heel Tales showcase. In 1865 Keith Blalock, a North Carolina soldier in the Union Army, has a severe head wound and is being nursed by his wife, Malinda. He deliriously switches back and forth from his present condition to memories of an earlier illness during the war. He recalls enlisting in the army with his “younger brother” and the conditions surrounding his discharge from the army.
