January 14 Prompt: any, any, leaving, written for Around the World in 80 Days.
By eight o’clock Passepartout had prepared the modest pocket-bag, containing five changes of their mundane wardrobes and one coat each for his master and himself charmed for only three occasions; then, still troubled by the thought of doing without any other magical objects, he descended to Mr. Fogg.
“Take good care of this bag as well,” his master handed it to Passepartout, “for there are twenty thousand spells in it.”
Passepartout nearly dropped the bag twice, once out of shock at so many incantations in one place, the other as their cab winged above Mr. Fogg's residence toward the train station and he realized the magic lantern was still spinning in his room.
