To encourage the young writers of North Carolina, Burning Coal will hold its annual festival of new plays, written by students from 6th grade to 12th grade, including: "A Place for the Present" by Brea Smith (Jack Britt High School); "The Art of the Escape" by Abigail Shorter (William G. Enloe High School); "Punch Drunk Love" by Skye Parks (William G. Enloe High School); "The Miraculous Life of Petra Pink on Tuesdays" by Natalie Wykle (Wake Forest High School); "Ad-ville" by Henry Carroll, Brooke Davis, and Nicholas O’Kon (Moore Square Magnet Middle School); "Marry Me!" By Abigail Celoria (North Raleigh Christian Academy).
