"Except when he kept all those secrets from his wife. Actors can get away with that sort of thing, but not most men. It trips them up every time."
He smiled patiently and nodded. "Right. Crime never pays."
Linda smiled herself as he stubbed his toe on the curb. "Neither do lies."
