For those unfamiliar with then name, the INSPY awards are "the bloggers' award for excellence in faith driven literature." I've been honored to serve as a judge in the speculative (science fiction and fantasy) category for three years, and been deeply awarded to be introduced to some great books and authors in the process.
This year marks a change for the awards organization (must be something about 2017, changes all around). In the past the group accepted nominations in a giant list: once nominated, a book was off the table and weighed by a panel for inclusion. This year they're trying to get more of a peoples' choice vibe going by accepting multiple nominations for a single book. The top 15 nominated books in each category will then enter the pool for consideration.
The INSPYs will accept nominations through January 16, with the nominees being announced on June 28. Head to their website for more details and to nominate your favorite 2016 book.
